Charlie Bamforth series

UC Davis professor Charlie Bamforth has been writing for Brewers' Guardian for the last five years with topics ranging from Great Brewing Debates, Beer Styles, Forecasting the Future, and last year Beer & Society.

As one of our popular feature writers, Charlie has the gift of distilling complex scientific argument, making them accessible to everyone in the brewing industry. He begins a new five-part series this year on Innovations in Brewing, in which he reconsiders the milestones of brewing innovation in the light of current best practice. First up in the July/August 2007 issue is malting - sometimes, writes the good professor the best results come from the simplest experiments.

This series is exclusively sponsored by Briggs plc.
