The university college vzw HUB-KAHO is the result of a merger between 2 Flemish university colleges, Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel (HUB) and Katholieke Hogeschool Sint-Lieven (KAHO). There has also been a recent significant change in the higher educational landscape in Flanders. All academic degree programmes of HUB and KAHO became university degree programmes of one of the biggest universities in Flanders: Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven).

  • Master degree in Biochemistry (60 ECTS credits) with specialisation in Malting and Brewing 
  • Erasmus Mundus Master course (120 ECTS credits): MSc. Degree in Food Science, Technology and Nutrition. Specialisation in Malting and Brewing Technology is possible
  • Short course in Malting and Brewing (4 weeks)  

Registration deadlines: Master and MSc Degree (September); Short Course (late October) 

Commencement: MSc Degree (October); Short Course (last week of November) 

Number of students: Maximum 20 students

Where are students from: Worldwide
Language of instruction: Dutch for the Master degree in Biochemistry; English for the two other courses
Facilities: 5hl innovative pilot plant, 2hl pilot plant, hi-tech analytical laboratory
