Beck's brand extensions: new styles, new look

Constantia Flexibles Labels called on for special features

Beck’s brand extensions launched this year in its home market of Germany boast a smart look thanks to labels from Constantia Flexible Labels.

The three premium bottled beers – Pale Ale, 1873 Pils and Amber Lager – are dressed with rotrogravure printed paper labels incorporating UV mark recognition.

All three are printed on highly refined white paper. The marketing team was also keen to use a varnish that produces a matt gloss effect, giving the bottles a premium appearance.

Additionally, the paper neck labels are equipped with another special varnish that simplifies the handling of returnable empties by UV mark recognition.

As a final premium cue that entertains, the letterings “full-bodied and hoppy”, “aromatic and smooth” or “traditionally fresh” brightly pop up on the different beer styles in different colours.
