China Brew & China Beverage moves
Biennial show relocates from Beijing to Shanghai
The increasingly popular China Brew & China Beverage exhibition is to move from Beijing to Shanghai for the next edition of the biennial show.
Going forward will call the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC) home, with the dates for the next exhibition set for 11-14 October 2016.The show’s organisers cite closer proximity to China’s beverage industry companies, with many based in this southern Chinese metropolis, as well as improved exhibition centre infrastructure.
Beijing Zhongqing Heli Machinery Equipment Co is the organizer of China Brew & China Beverage. From 2011 Messe München International and its Chinese subsidiary MMI Shanghai have been co-organizers.
Messe München International deputy CEO Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer commented, "With this move to Shanghai, we want to make an already highly successful project even more successful. By being closer to the geographical heart of the beverages industry, we expect further synergy effects to be generated for the event."
The 2014 edition of China Brew & China Beverage closed its doors earlier this month in Beijing. Over four days the exhibition welcomed more than 52,000 visitors, a slight increase over the previous show in 2012. There were 708 exhibitors from 25 countries featuring their goods and services.
Olaf Mueller, vice president, food and beverage at Pentair Filtration & Process, said, "I think CBB is excellent. We are extremely happy with the outcome of the exhibition, especially for the first two days. A lot of decision-makers from local Chinese enterprises and expanding international groups visited our booth. And we also met some visitors from Southeast Asia. So we have customers here and they are middle managers and technical people, as well as commercial decision-makers. I would say CBB really has very high-quality visitors."
