Haywards 5000 inspected: SABMiller India's strong beer leader

Shalabh Seth replaces Grant Liversage

SABMiller has appointed Shalabh Seth as managing director of its India unit. Seth replaces Grant Liversage, who is leaving to return to South Africa after less than 18 months in the role.

Seth joined SABMiller India in 2003 and has held various senior roles, including sales director, a post he has been in since October 2011. He starts his new role on 1 January 2015.

His key responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s operations, expansion and growth in the country, and building the business by strengthening its diversified and balanced portfolio of brands.

Ari Mervis, managing director of SABMiller Asia Pacific, said, “Shalabh is well suited for this position, having had a proven and successful track record in our India business.”

Seth added, “I look forward to working with the entire team and strengthening SABMiller India’s vision and commitment to grow and add value in the country.”

Liversage replaced Paolo Lanzarotti as managing director in August 2013.
