11th International Trends in Brewing Symposium

Symposium profile: The 11th Trends in Brewing, under the banner "Can Trends in Brewing be Revolutionary?", will focus on moving science into practical solutions and will deal with highly pertinent questions, such as: "What can we learn from other industries regarding cost-efficient, sustainable production and optimised process design?" and "Which technologies might be taken into consideration for implementation in malting and brewing, in particular during extract production, fermentation, and beer finishing/packaging?" Important issues like cost-reduction whilst maintaining quality, reduced water consumption, energy savings, continuous beer production, and adequate logistics in export will also be raised.

Symposium profile: Symposium for managers from production, filling and quality assurance of breweries and soft drink producers in Spanish-speaking countries. After the success of our events in 2008 in Spain, 2011 in Mexico, 2012 in Brazil and Argentina in 2013, the symposium moves back to Spain for 2014. There will also be an accompanying exhibition.

Market, Trends & Technology
Symposium profile: The European MicroBrew Symposium is an industry event that addresses owners, brewmasters and professional brewers from European and German micro-breweries and pub breweries. The topics are focused on technological and quality aspects of beer brewing on a professional and practice related level. In addition a market overview and success stories from existing breweries will be presented. The symposium language will be exclusively in English.
Brewing in a Nutshell
Seminar profile: “Brewing in a Nutshell” is a 2-day residential course providing the basics of beer brewing. It covers the general principals of the brewing and malting processes, the raw materials and filling and packaging in theory. A professional beer tasting of several different beer types completes the program. The course language is English. Fee payable.
